Have you received an incorrect decision?

Don't worry! As a citizen or civil servant, you don't have to put up with everything. Together we will assert your rights.

Objection to authority decisions

Whether it’s a rejection notice, a fee notice, or official requirements – authorities make mistakes.

I will examine the legality of administrative acts, file an objection for you in the correct form and within the deadline, and represent you in legal proceedings before the administrative court.

School law and kindergarten place lawsuits

Has your child not been assigned a kindergarten place or been rejected by your preferred school?

I will support you in legally enforcing your statutory claim to a kindergarten place or help with school transfers and unfair disciplinary measures.

Examination appeals and university law

A failed exam during studies, state examinations, or training endangers your career.
Often there are assessment errors or procedural defects. I will analyze the examination protocols and legally appeal unfair grades for you.

Civil servant law and public service

As a civil servant or employee in the public service, you are in a special relationship of trust.

I will represent you in disputes concerning official evaluations, in the event of impending incapacity for service,
in disciplinary proceedings, or in the context of competitor lawsuits.

Neighbor protection and building permits

Has your building permit been unjustly rejected or has the building authority issued an demolition or closure order? Even if your neighbor plans a construction project that violates your rights,
I will advocate for you in building law.

Other public law matters

I will personally, transparently, and with full commitment assist you with all your legal questions in Hamburg.

Frequently asked questions in public law

Against most decisions by authorities, you can file an objection within one month of notification.

Important: The deadline begins on the day the decision is delivered to you by post. If the decision lacks a proper legal remedy notice at the end, this deadline is even extended to a full year. Nevertheless, react immediately!

Yes. In Germany, there is a statutory claim to a care place from the age of one year.

If the City of Hamburg does not assign you a place or assigns you a place that is unreasonably far away, this claim can be successfully enforced through summary proceedings (urgent proceedings) before the administrative court.

The same applies to assignment to preferred schools.

An examination appeal involves reviewing the assessment of an examination in court or out of court. The chances of success are often better than expected: Examiners surprisingly often violate procedural regulations (e.g., noise during the exam, too short a processing time) or exceed their discretion in grading. Access to the file through me will quickly bring clarity here.

A competitor lawsuit is advisable if you have been passed over for a promotion or the filling of a higher position in public service and the employer has violated the principle of best selection (performance, suitability, qualification). Since positions are filled quickly, it is necessary to prevent the competitor from being appointed through summary proceedings.

If your building permit is rejected, it is first important to check whether the project complies with the provisions of the
development plan or fits into the character of the immediate surroundings.

An objection must be filed against the rejection within one month.

If this is unsuccessful, a so-called action for annulment to obtain the building permit can be filed with the administrative court.

Many legal protection insurances completely exclude public law in the pre-litigation proceedings (the objection proceedings) or only offer initial advice for it.

However, as soon as court proceedings before the administrative court begin (e.g., lawsuit against a decision or urgent proceedings), insurance coverage is fully applicable in most tariffs. I will gladly handle the free coverage inquiry for you.

Free initial consultation

Free initial contact: Our first brief meeting (online or by phone) for an initial assessment of your administrative law matter is completely free of charge for you.
So that I can give you well-founded feedback during the conversation, it is best to briefly describe your problem in advance and send me the relevant authority decision, rejection, or examination documents via the contact form or by email.

Transparent lawyer fees: Since the costs for a lawyer in public law are legally dependent on the economic value of the matter (the amount in dispute according to the Court Costs Act),
a flat-rate fixed price cannot be given for every procedure in advance. Based on your details, however, I will immediately determine the estimated costs for you.
Based on this transparent assessment, you can decide absolutely freely whether you wish to instruct me.

Don’t worry: The lawyer’s fees will be explained to you in full transparency from the outset. Money should not be an obstacle to defending yourself against the arbitrariness of authorities or securing your child’s future. In case of financial difficulties, we can gladly arrange a fair payment plan.
